
ManilaCoco Prexy Attends 2005 EXPO East
Manila Coco Bio-Essence, Inc.’s (ManilaCoco) President and
Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Castro attended this year’s Natural Products Expo
East Show (EXPO East) held from September 15 to 18 this year at the Washington
Convention Center, Washington, DC.
The EXPO East is the natural and organic industries’ biggest
East Coast trade show. The unquestioned leader in the field for the past twenty
years, EXPO East is the only professional trade fair bringing together and
uniting all those involved in the market for natural products.
ManilaCoco is a duly registered private corporation in the
Philippines dedicated to recreating alternative therapies by combining it with
western science for food and topical use. ManilaCoco extracts its own fine oils
for use in its own brands – Virgin Coco de Manila Dietary Supplements, MC3
Energy Booster, and Bali Spa Aromatherapy Massage Oils – and for sale to other
manufacturers and re-sellers.
Castro says that he found the trade show to be a plethora of
knowledge and products from the natural and organic businesses. At the expo, he
also met key resource persons on the business. He elucidates, “EXPO East has
heightened my appreciation of organic products, and has given me hot-on-the pan
US market updates which I can apply in our newly started virgin coconut oil
business in Manila.”
EXPO East exhibitors counted in suppliers, manufacturers,
producers, importers/exporters, services, distributors of organic products,
health foods, dietary products, food supplements, cosmetics, hygiene and natural
care products, ecological products and equipment, raw materials, processing,
packaging, shaping, groceries, and fresh products.
All virgin coconut oils by ManilaCoco are naturally induced
coconut oils through proprietary mechanical expellers, without the use of
solvents or other chemicals, and derived from non-GMO, freshly picked coconuts
organically grown from the rich tropical Philippine soil.
As president and chief executive officer of ManilaCoco,
Castro throws in his extensive knowledge in the food and beverage business given
his vast international experience in general management, marketing, sales,
manufacturing, distribution, and new business development from multinational F&B
companies where he previously held key positions.
